Needless to say we are all about options, as all we care about now is that you give us a big, fat stinking present.

1. For the ROMANTIC TRADITIONALIST: Pottery Barn and Amazon registries (please find us a Wii). The truth is Steve got hold of the “registry gun” at Pottery Barn and I have absolutely NO idea what we ended up with. Clearly he likes anything that has to do with bars and what is in bars. Ryan had an equal reaction to cooking appliances (and she doesn’t cook) on Amazon. The idea that you could just press on a pretty picture and suddenly you would get a (much needed) ice cream maker, was almost too much. If you see nothing that matches your sparkling personality and wit, come back later. No doubt these will be updated frequently.

2. For the EFFERVESCENT DO-GOODER: Steve and I are both doing the Avon Breast Cancer Walk in October. We are walking with his mom, Eileen Bronstein – a breast cancer survivor! We each need to raise $1800 for the cause. So this is truly a fantastic way to support our cause.

3. For the PRAGMATIC PATRON: Recently Steve and I went to a wedding. A beautiful wedding. We went on the registry and bought a nice $70 gift that we thought reflected our (poor) values. Then we were asked if we wanted to have wrapping. But of course! Then they added shipping. In the end it cost us almost $100. I couldn’t help but feel that we should have just slipped the couple a Benjamin and not paid the man that extra money.

4. For the MERRY PRANKSTER: If nothing else looks good, please buy Steve a decanter. He registered for about 1,000 of them. Apparently, they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and he loves them. I imagine we will have an entire decanting wall. Even though I have no idea what a decanter is really for.
